LearningInq was started in 1992, with the conviction that first generation school-goers in the country can excel en mass via Government education provisions. The research closed after 16 years in 2008, when pragmatic solutions for Government use, were found, to the driving question of how to make quality education accessible for the most educationally vulnerable children at scale. Success indicators have included increased enrollment and retention, community ownership of education and increased numbers of teachers teaching on a regular basis, teacher preparation before class, use of existing and new teaching aids by teachers. All these improvements have sustained within the context in which they were tested.
